Our story isn’t all that different from others you’ve heard—starting small, with a dream, a few good friends, and a little place to call your own.
It all began in East Peoria, in a garage, during the retirement of Jeffrey Hickerson. That’s where I learned some of life’s most important lessons—especially how to make people feel welcome. That little place, Mud Puddle Pizza, is where this entire journey truly started.
After my time in the military, I came back, leased the old space, and built something new: Cheese Nuts Pizza.
